Roosevelt created the Agricultural Adjustment Admin during his first 100 days in office as an attempt to raise crop prices by lowering agricultural production. An unintended consequence of the policy, however, was to put farmers out of work, causing even greater numbers to seek other means of employment. (jan 1, 1930 – jan 1, 1938)
