Description:

Hildegard was an abbess, theologian, composer, nurse botanist, and arguably a scientist.
She claimed to experience prophetic and apocalyptic visions and dictated them to scribes. From birth this was a sign of gods grace. She received papal approval to travel and preach. Went on preaching tours.
She exchanged letters and gave advice to numerous political leaders and the pope.
A big thing for womens' status in Christianity.

She became a doctor of the Church in 2012.
