A pamphlet written by Thomas Paine to promote American independence to the colonies. He created effective arguments to encourage people to fight against Britain for a separate government.Although the effectiveness of a pamphlet is often overlooked, Thomas Paine surprised everyone with his rebellious act of advertising freedom from Britain. This once again fought the government in a civil action.
