Description:
This was a period of time within Czechoslovakia in which liberalization took place under Alexander Dubček's leadership, who described it as "socialism with a human face." However, the Warsaw Pact saw this as a threat to communism, so Czechoslovakia was invaded and occupied by Soviet Armed Forces soon after, and Alexander Dubček was deposed and replaced by hardline communists.Added to timeline:
