Edict of Nantes Sustains Religious Freedom for the Huguenots (apr 13, 1598 – oct 2, 1685)
For 80+ years, this Edict protected French Calvinists and allowed them to worship freely. It was a form of religious tolerance, allowing more than one main religion. It was later revoked by Louis XIV.
