Columbian Exchange (jan 1, 1492 – jan 1, 1595)
Description:
The Columbian exchange was the "contact between colonists and Native Americans that led to widespread exchange of plants, animals, and disease." The Columbian exchange helped crops from one area spread to another. For example, tomatoes became included in Italian cookbooks after being brought to Italy during the Columbian exchange.
