Description:
LuXE is a Donegal based landscape theatre company, which produces “illuminated spectacles”. The company was formed in 2008 by Mandy Blinco and Mark Hill. LUXE creates work for street theatre around Ireland, through the merged ideas of its two founders. Hill and Blinco come from very different theatrical backgrounds, but it is the combination of their experiences which result in the successes of LUXE. Hill has a background in fine art, touring theatre, performance percussion and public and processional sculpture. Blinco has a background in processional performance, theatre and textiles and her inspirational travels of the Himalayas and deserts of Rajasthan.

LUXE creates work for all ages to enjoy. The company is family friendly. The company works with children, through a facilitation at Fort Dunree Studio Residency. LUXE teaches a children’s art summer school. The company teaches crafts and media. Children are often involved in the Donegal Earagail Festival, which takes place in July each year. LUXE creates an “open air illuminated spectacle”, in which the children’s artwork is often a part of.
