Description:
One of the prominent modern children’s theatre companies in Ireland is Branar Téatar do Pháistí. Galway based, the company lengthily tours around the country and overseas with their high-end, imaginative and modern productions. Countries visited include; Europe, USA, China and Japan. Yearly the company visits schools and presents bilingual performances, suited for the different ages. The company encouraging children to explore creativity and develop their imagination. An ethos of the company is to support upcoming artist by their work. A current puppet production by Branar Grace Kiely and Neasa Ní Chuanaigh is an adaptation of Oliver Jeffery’s Book How to Catch a Star. With a magical setting, the striking were made puppets by Suse Reibish and is suitable for ages 4 upwards.
