Trans Saharan Trade Routes (dec 7, 700 – dec 6, 1600)
Description:
Trade between empires in North africa across the Sahara desert. This allowed for the spread of Islam to Northwest Africa and for gold East to the rest of the world. Merchants traveled in caravans across the desert and traded goods.
