Elizabeth I rules England (nov 1, 1558 – mar 1, 1603)
Description:
After her half-sister Mary Tudor reigned as Queen of (Catholic) England, Elizabeth I changed the country's religion back to Anglicanism. However, in addition, she created a successful, religiously tolerant agreement called the Elizabethan Compromise, allowing Catholics and Anglicans in England.
