Colvin Run Mill Historic Site is a Virginia Landmark
listed on the National Register of Historic Places and
accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.
Featuring Fairfax County’s award-winning operational
19th century water-powered gristmill, the site offers
recreational and educational activities for all ages
through tours, school programs and special events.
Open daily 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.; closed Tuesdays. Tours
are offered on the hour, last tour at 3 p.m.
Tour tickets: $7 per adult, $6 per student 16+ with ID,
$5 per child and senior. Park entry is free except for
some special events.

Colvin Run General Store
Shop in the unhurried atmosphere of this restored
c.1900 country store where you will find yellow and
white cornmeal, yellow and white grits, and whole
wheat flour ground at the mill. Open 11 a.m.- 4 p.m.
daily; closed Tuesdays.

Recurring Programs

Grinding Demonstrations
Sundays, Sept. 17, Oct. 1 and 15
No reservations required. Noon – 3 p.m.
See and hear 19th century technology at work. The
miller will be grinding, conditions permitting. Please
call the site to confirm. Tour cost: $7 adults, $6 student
16 and up with ID, $5 child and senior.
Blacksmithing Demonstrations

Sundays, Oct. 1 and Nov. 5
No reservations required. 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Free
Watch as the blacksmith fires up his forge and works
with hammer and tongs to make iron tools and
utensils.
