Buran Program (feb 25, 1980 – jan 13, 2010)

Description:

The Buran Program was the Soviet response to the American Space Shuttle program. It's fleet consisted of 4 identical launch vehicles, all of which exist today. In international programs such as the International Space Station and the construction of the UNS-Odysseus, Buran and the Space Shuttle would work together as the primary launch vehicles. The program was retired in 2010 after nearly 150 flights.
