In the 1950s, Leo fender with the assistance of his employee George Fullerton, developed the first ever mass produced Electric bass guitar,The “Fender Bass” began production in October 1951, it soon was widely copied industry standard for the Electric bass.
The "Fender Bass" was a revolutionary since it was easily transported, it was less prone to unwanted feedback sounds when amplified
