Siege of Bexar (oct 12, 1835 – dec 11, 1835)

Description:

Stephen F. Austin commander in chief lead the Texas army during the Siege of Bexar. The Texans fought against the Mexican troops that were was led by General Martin Perfecto de Cos. who was also President Santa Ana brother in-law. The Siege of Bexar took place in what we know today as San Antonio. The Texas army defeated the Mexican troops and conquered the San Antonio territory. The Texans returned home overly confident claiming victory.
