Siege of San Antonio de Béxar (oct 12, 1835 – dec 28, 1835)
Description:
On the way to San Antonio the army grew into 400 men fighting for Texas independence. Along came James Bowie and Juan Seguin. On October 28th Austin ordered James Bowie and 90 men to gain a location closer to the city. There the Mexicans and Texans had skirmishes from time to time.After a while Austin ask for an attack but no one agreed, they stood put in position. Three companies(Volunteers from the US) arrived in December and Austin then again pushed for an attack but it was declined. During December Burleson thought about giving up and going to Goliad, but when a Mexican official surrender and gives good new that the siege is working, they continue.
