Coke Joins the war effort (jan 1, 1941 – dec 31, 1945)
Description:
President of Coca Cola Robert Woodruff saw the company he ran as viable way to support the troops on nether war front. His policy of offereing “every man in uniform gets a bottle of Coke for five cents wherever he is or whatever it costs the company.This policy made coke a beloved drink in the armed forces. So much so that General Dwight D. Eisenhower requested materials to build 10 bottling plants.
