Asa Candler takes control of Coca Cola. Candler starts marketing to the country instead of just Atlanta. His promotion of free coupons for Coke is a massive success. Mostly due impart to his strategy of getting new customers past their tentative first sip of the drink. Another of his marketing ploys was for pharmacy’s to sell small everyday items branded with the the Coca Cola logo.
Candler would later sign away the rights to bottle the beverage to Joseph Biedenharn. Candler at. The time did not recognize the importance that bothering the beverage would have on the popularity of the product.
