Battle at San Antonio de Béxar (oct 12, 1835 – dec 11, 1835)

Description:

The Texan army did a siege on the Mexican army in San Antonio because the Mexican army was way bigger than them. The siege lasted 6 - 8 weeks. A lot of Texans went home to get warmer clothes. The Texan army said they wouldn't attack. Ben Milam disagreed heavily and said the famous phrase "Who will go with old Ben Milam to San Antonio." 300 people went with him to attack. Ben Milam was killed on the 3rd day. On December 11, General Cos surrendered. The Mexican army lost 150 men. The Texan army lost only 2 men. A lot of Texans thought the war was over.
