Description:
Widely considered "the father of wildlife management" Leopold was an ecologist, naturalist and forester. Living in southern Wisconsin, Leopold held one of the first university positions of game management at the University of Wisconsin Madison.
Leopold suffered a fatal heart attack while assisting his neighbor with a grass fire, he never saw the release of "A Sand County Almanac."
