Domitian Persecution (jan 1, 95 – jan 1, 96)
Description:
Although emperors before him had accepted the title of "Divine", Domitian was one of the first emperors to demand that his subjects regard him as a god. When Christians refused to do this, Domitian launched a persecution against them that was centered around the area of Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey).
