#MeToo Movement (jan 1, 2017 – nov 6, 2019)

Description:

This is a movement that was created to help women that were victims of sexual harassment to make sure they had someone to relate to and that they were able to hang on to life during these hard times. This movement made the population more aware of the dangers that could encounter a woman during sexual harassment and how common. This led to different laws, for example, states are prohibiting confidentiality agreements that cover sexual harassment, introducing protection for workers, there are funds that help women that may need it for their trial. This has changed the mentality of people all over America, up to the Congress which reinforced some rules after the movement took such a big extent that even some Congresswomen were part of it.
