Description:
anti-Communist Nazi party caused displacement from as early as 1933. The Nuremberg Laws in 1935, the Anschluss with Austria and Kristallnacht in 1938 prompted more departures of Jews and political dissidents from Germany and Austria, while the annexation of Sudetenland created significant numbers of Czech and Jewish refugees.
