Vimy Ridge Battle +2 (apr 9, 1917 – apr 12, 1917)
Progress: This is the most important victory Canadians made during WWI. 20,000 Canadians followed a carefully coordinated creeping barrage toward the ridge. By the next day, the Canadians had taken and held Vimy Ridge. This victory let all the people, especially Germans, recognize that how strong Canadian troops are. The four divisions of the Canadian Corps, fighting together for the first time, this significant victory brought Canada together. The victory cheered all the Canadians at war and at home.
