Ottoman-Persian War (aug 3, 1879 – jan 10, 1891)

Description:

The British-supported Persians fought the Ottomans in a long and bloody war. The British captured the Arabian Peninsular early in the war, but became distracted by Canada and lost focus on Arabia until 1887. The Ottoman-Persian border remained heavily contested until the British entry in the Second German War, when the French pushed from Egypt and the Persians pushed the Ottomans back, forcing Ottoman collapse and surrender.
