Dacha is a host committee member

The annual gala raises the private funds needed to leverage the District Government grants that allow us to keep the neighborhood's streets clean, conduct events and advertising programs that promote our businesses, and provide business owners with technical assistance.

The 300+ people who attend the gala each year represent a cross section of the neighborhood, from residents and business owners to developers and senior citizens. The gala is one of Shaw Main Streets' signature events, which attendees regularly tell us they eagerly await each year.

Host Committee members are asked to provide a signature food or beverage item to present at a station at the gala. Access to the Howard's kitchen for final prep is available, as are chafing dishes, serving equipment, dishes, utensils, glasses, etc. Ideally, we'd like to have you present for at least part of the event, but at minimum, staff should be there to interact with the crowd and answer questions about menus, etc.
