World War I (12 h, jul 28, 1914 y – 12 h, nov 11, 1918 y)
Description:
World War I affected that politics of Britain immensely. One of the biggest effects was the King, George V, changed the name of the Royal family from German "Saxe-Coburg and Gotha" to English "Windsor." Even though there was a lot of anti-German ideas during this time, much has been forgiven and today the United Kingdom and Germany have a fairly peaceful relationship.
