Ernest Rutherford (aug 30, 1871 – oct 19, 1937)

Description:

Through his research and experiments, he collaborated with Frederick Soddy to create the disintegration theory of radioactivity which regards radioactive phenomenon as atomic and not molecular. Both men also discovered a series of new radioactive substances. Through these experiements, he postulated that, at the centre of an atom, a single point which contained al of the positive charge called a nucleus existed. Through further research, he was able to prove the existance of these things within base molecules.
