The Microsoft case has an important similarity with the current Google case in the fact that "default settings" or preferences on a device are under the control of the company, giving preference to its products and providing degraded access or integration to competitive products running on their platform. Related to bundling and "lock-in", which ease entry onto a platform but make it difficult and costly to change to another platform.
