The Senussi battles were a series of minor battles between Allies and Arabs, causing a small number of Australian deaths
The Battle of Romani was for control over the Suez Canal. The battle cost the Allies 1,202 casualties of which 222 were killed, 71 died of wounds and 909 were wounded; half of these were Australians.
The Battle of Magdhaba was part of the continued push by the Allies to retain control over the Suez Canal. The victory cost the Australians 22 dead and 121 wounded
