Mendeleev
Thomson He discovered the electron in 1897 he suggested that electrons were surrounded in a blob of positive charge. He created the plum pudding model.
Rutherford He discovered the positive nucleus and negative electrons moving around it. But that the atom was mostly empty space. He found this out by doing the gold foil experiment and created the modern atomic model
Bohr He
Democritus He didn't really have any proof or evidence for his theory but believed it was true anyway. His theory was: That everything was composed of atoms and between atoms, there is empty space and there are different kinds of atoms in different shapes and sizes.
Aristotle He didn't believe in the atomic theory but that everything was made up of the four elements: earth, wind, air and fire.
John Dalton He believed what Democritus believed that there was nothing smaller than an atom and an atom was indivisible. His atom model was made of wooden balls. He also believed that atoms of the same element looked the same.
