Tomb Raider : Tomb Raider 3D One of the first fully fleshed out 3D action experiences, third person, gun combat, story, characters
Tony Hawk : Tony Hawk 3D Sport game, better physics, sandbox?,
Jak : Jak & Daxter 3D Naughty Dog, Amazing story game, morphing animations, stylized worlds, PS2 GENERATION!!
Ratchet : Ratchet & Clank 3D Like Jak & Daxter, full fleshed out story with fun combat, stylized animations, more story and character than previous games
Rayman : Rayman 3D Mix of Mario and Ratchet&Clank, story but with alot more platforming elements,
Master Chief : Halo 3D Extremely popular space combat game, influenced games to date like Unreal Tournament did. Master Chief is built for a combat game, lots of green for disguise, very competitive
Dante : Devil May Cry 3D
Hitman : Hitman 3D Spy, assassin game, higher age ratings, more bloody, strategic
GLAD0S : Portal 3D Started from an INDIE, amazing animations and voice acting/scripts brought this valve character to life, one of my most liked characters
Nick : Left 4 Dead 3D Valve is uprising, the beginning of games without thirds has begun,
Tiny Tina : Borderlands 3D Games by now have got past story and character being revolutionary, Tiny Tina is a beautifully designed character in Borderlands style, lots of personality, Personally one of my first characters that I literally found fun to play near because of the voicelines and interactions
Super Meat Boy : Super Meat Boy 2D Fast platformer, Character has personality, it's the typical hero saves princess/love storyline but is brought to life through the challenging and fun gameplay, combined with the style of the character.
Bastion : Bastion 2D Amazing storytelling game, very stylized
Clemetine : The Walking Dead 3D Beginning of Telltale games, this along with Half-Life inspired a-lot of modern story games such as TLOU and Beyond Two Souls. Clementine is a side-character the player is supposed to grow to like.
Ellie : The Last Of Us 3D My favourite female game character, Naughty Dog uses amazing MOCAP technology to bring the character to life alongside actor Ashley Johnson, considered one of the most realistic game characters to date both story-wise and graphically.
Issac : Binding of Issac Rebirth 2D A remake of an old game, 2D arcades had a bit of a comeback, Issac always looks towards the camera
Max : Life is Strange 3D Character is stylized, not considered them most realistic because of horrific mouth animations to voicelines, gameplay is very basic (move there, open that, use it) but still quite successful.
Reinhardt : Overwatch 3D Blizzard stylized character from overwatch, very tanky and has alot of personality
Aloy : Horizon Zero Dawn 3D Aloy is reminiscent of Tomb Raider, strong female lead in an action-story-adventure game, except this one is more about overcoming challenges and less about being an action hero.
Vick : A Way Out 3D One character in a two-character experience game, splitscreen is back
Jack : Tekken 2D Fighter, Sideview
Charizard : Pokemon 2D Pokemon game, Nintendo, Portable games becoming more fleshed out
Obi-Wan : Star Wars Phantom Menace 3D Movie game, more post processing effects, better lighting, voice acting
