During this time we had Continental Currency. Continental Currency is paper money created by the anticipations of tax revenues during the Revolutionary War.During this time we had Silver Coins. Once Congress passed the first Coinage Act, the US Mint was put in charge of making these coins out of silver for 90% and copper for the remaining 10%.During this time the Texas Dollar was made. It used to be called star money and were used for interest bearing notes.During this time gold coins were made. When California discovered gold the gold dollar was made and became very popular among people.During this time the State Bank Notes were created.
