I was born in Seattle. More
specifically, i was born in leschi.
My sister was 4 when i was born.
When i was born, i was
blue because i couldn't breath.
In all of the baby pictures of me and
my sister, it looks like she is trying to strangle me
But she says they were just big sister hugs.I moved to vashon right after I turned 2.
I'm glad we moved to vashon because its
been a great place to grow up.
Vashon has kind of been my family's
anchor and every time we live
somewhere else, We all ways come
back to vashon. I also love
it because its a very tight community.
Lastly, i like vashon because thats where my grandma lives.My family moved to Ghana west Africa.
I started 1st grade in Ghana.
I also got my first dog, zig zag who was a rescue.
I also think living in Ghana was a great experience because i
learned a lot about other cultures.
Lastly it was a great
lesson in being a minority because i was one of 4
white kids at a k-12 school
and one of the other white kids was my sister.I moved back to Vashon island when i was 8.
I resumed school on Vashon at carpedeam.
Carpedeam was a big part of my
life because a lot of my friends today i met there.
I also got my dog rosie (aka my curly girly).I moved to D.C.
I went to my first public school
which was an amazing experience.
DC was great because
it gave me the experience of living in a
city and taking mass transit.
Which i think all kids should know
how to do because if you go to any
major city in the world more likely
then not they are going to have mass transit.
Lastly, i made a lot of great friends that i'm still in contact with.i moved back to vashon after 3 years in DC.
I went to mcmurray middle school for three years.
I made a lot of friends
during those years and even a few of them
are going to this school.
Mcmurray was about thre
e hundred kids and 1/3 of them
commuted over to vashon for school.
I also during that time played soccer for PAC.I graduated from mcmuray.
I also got into aviation
where i am now.
I had to quit soccer
this year because
it would be too much.
But all in all im glad i chose
to come here.My older sister, Sophie was born.
She is my best friend and Nemesis
at the same time.
She is 18 and goes to LIU Global.
Some how shes managed to skip
a year of high school and college so
shes now a junior in college.
We have a love hate relation
ship but since we have become
teenagers, we have started
fighting a lot less.We got my third dog simba who is
a 90lbs teddy bear.
He is definitly the loyalist one
of the three because he just
follows me around the house
even when my moms calling him.My parents got divorced when i was 6.
We were living o vashon at the time.
We also had two cats that my parents
had gotten before me and my sister were born.
