Events
1428: Aztec Empire began ruling the Valley of Mexico
1492: Spanish people began settling in the Caribbean when Columbus found it.
1494: The land, resources, money, wealth and riches were shared amongst the people of Spain due to the treaty Tordesilla
1502: Moctezuma II elected the emperor of the Aztec Empire
1507: America is first named by cartographer Martin Waldseemueller
1517: Hernandez de Cordoba begins to explore the Yucatan Peninsula and Mexico's east coast
1519: Herman Cortez arrives in the Aztec Empire and enters the capital city, Tenochtitlan.
1520: The Aztecs were massacred in Tenochtitlan by the Spanish and even Montezuma dies. However they are driven out with the small pox epidemic.
1521: The Aztecs are defeated by the Spanish in Tenochtitlan after a 3 month siege.
1530: Francisco Pizarro makes contact with the Inca Empire.
1532: Pizarro returns and captures Inca Emperor and then the capital city Cuzco falls to the Spanish as well.
1572: The last Inca Empire is defeated by the Spanish, ending all resistance to the Spanish colonisation in South America.
