Events
Marshall Plan: The plan gave 12 billion dollars to Europe after World War II. Europe used this money to rebuild themselves, resulting in a 35% increase in economic output.
Geneva Accords(Vietnam War): A set of multiple accords created during the Geneva Conference, where the future of Vietnam was discussed and foreign involvement was removed. Communist influence was also removed from Vietnam, bringing North and South Vietnam closer together.
Construction of the Berlin Wall: Because West Germany was thriving in their democratic lifestyles, many people from East Germany moved there. Because this was taking a toll on their economy, East Germany constructed this wall to keep them in East Germany.
