1829- The halogen and alkali metal triads discovered by Johann Dobereiner.
1864- New periodic table is published by Newlands.
1862- The first periodic table is created by A.E. Beguyer de Chancourtois.
1869- Dmitri Mendeleev is named "father of the periodic table", after a new publication.
1870- Meyer publication of the periodic table.
1898- The Zero Group (Zero Valency) is established by William Ramsey.
1911- Studies are published by Rutherford on the scattering of alpha particles by atom nuclei. This leads to the discovery of nuclear charge.
1911- Atomic weight and its relation to charge is established by A. van den Broek.
1913- Moseley establishes that an elements properties varied with its atomic number and not atomic weight.
