Castro enters University of Havana Castro enrolled in the university of Havan to study law which is where he developed his political leadership skills

Havana began to resemble one large casino The corruption in Cuba led to Havana becoming almost one large brothel and casino.
Chibas' suicide Eduardo Chibas, a politician at the time, commits suicide
Batista returns/Coup After 8 years Batista returns as president of Cuba. Castro organises the beginning of the revolution with a coup.
The revolution begins Castro and his revolutionaries attack the Moncada Barracks. Castro is also captured and given a secret trial receiving a 15 year sentence.
Batista pardons political prisoners In November of 1954 Batista announced the pardoning of all political prisoners.
Political pressure/Castro leaves Pressure builds on Batista to agree to free elections. Castro leaves for Mexico to plan an attack from foreign soil.
Castro returns Castro and 81 men land on the eastern coast of Cuba and most are captured or killed. By now the revolution was picking up traction.
