The invention of the printing press, starting the renaissance, as it made it easier to make books, giving people more access to them, making it easier to get a good education, and giving a start to the Renaissance.

The Protestant Reformation ended giving an end to the Renaissance, as the Catholic church started losing power, as Marthin Luther started challenging the pope saying he had no power over the people, also Spain and France had attacked Italy taking resources that used to be used to pay the artists and make paintings. The triads in the Mediterranean that were mostly controlled by Italy are not that used any more as there are more triads over the Atlantic Ocean. Ending the Renaissance.
