The book Anthem was writtemThe book anthem was written by Ayn Rand in Russia.During the time Ayn Rand wrote this book, the Great Purge of Stalinist Russia was going on. The Great Purge Of Stalinist Russia was when a the leader of Communist Russia, Joseph Stalin, was paranoid of opposition. It was this paranoia that led to the Great Purge where millions of people were executed or sent to labor camps in Siberia.During the time Ayn Rand wrote the book Anthem, The Great Purge of Stalinist Russia was going on.
