In 1846 immigration started happening in Mexico Country.
immigrants already started to come to the u.s.a and some even became citizens.
Around here immigrants started tripling in size and when is tripled it gained more attention.
It was hard for immigrants to find work because they had there land taken away and they were treated like second class.
This is when the great depression started happening and make immigrants life even harder, there was less jobs and that made so many people looking for jobs angry and fearsful.
People didn't want anymore immigrant to work with them and in then the government decided to send mexican-american back to Mexico.
A war broke out in the 1942 and the government started telling the Mexican's to come back because they needed farmer workers and made a program called braceros but they were treated really bad :(
A guy named Cesar Chavez gained national fame and became a symbol for immigrants rights and there were also civil rights moments.
Immigrants are stiil fighting for there rights and to have a better life and future and they are important because they show braveness
