. After Graduation, create a small startup and try to release an indie game with some friends. If it doesn't workout after a year, look for other job opportunities .
Apply and work for small start ups or indie game companies if the startup does not work out.

To conclude, after researching about this career and the various things required to get into the gaming industry as a programmer, I would say that I am still interested in pursuing it. Although my end goal may not be the same which is to apply to Ubisoft, I may only work my way up to medium sized companies which may allow me to show my creative skills and passion for creating games.
