1922 former factory worker grace fryer was the first to experience symptoms such as teeth falling out and developed a painful abscess on her jaw
1925, A report is published that highlights the flaws of the factory
May 18, 1927- FIve women who worked in the factory filed a law suit against U.S. Radium. Each asked for $250,000
1928-The radium girls reached a settlement with U.S. Radium they each received $10,000. $600 given every year they lived. They also covered medical expenses
December 28, 1928- A conference was held by surgeon general hugh Cummings to investigate current conditions and fecomend ways to protect workers.
October 27, 1933- One of the Radium girls dies at the age of 34.
1938- The Food Druc and Cosmetic Act was passed
