Thomas Jefferson was born in Shadwell, Virginia
Peter Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson's dad, died. When he died he left his fourteen-year-old son his slaves and land.
Thomas Jefferson began studying at the College of William & Mary.
He graduated from William & Mary and began reading law with George Wythe.
