Necker hired to fix French economy and reform royal expenditure. Issued the first public royal finance report for "transparency" but caused backlash due to the excessive personal royal expenditure of Louis and Marie.
Calonne hired to maintain royal finances. Bankrupted France due to lavish overspending in an attempt to restore faith in the French monarchy and earn loans from other countries.
Necker reappointed as population saw him as France's best finance minister, despite the fact his figures were doctored.
