Proclamation of 1763, the colonists were forbidden to inhabit land west of the the Appalachian Mountains.
Stamp Act 1765, taxed all printed goods.
Boston Massacre 1770, while protesting, colonists got accidentally shot by 2 redcoats.
Battles of Lexington and Concord 1775, the first fights between the colonists and the redcoats.
The Battle of Trenton 1776, Washington surprised and took down the Hessians by crossing the Delaware on Christmas.
Battle of Saratoga,1777 convinced the French that the Patriots stood a chance.
Valley Forge & France 1788 In Valley Forge, during the winter there were huge losses to the Patriots, but France joined as an ally.
The Battle of Yorktown 1781, The Patriots & French "corn"ered General Cornwallis, ending the final battle of the revolution.
Treaty of Paris 1783, British and Patriot representatives negotiated terms, ending the Revolutionary War.
French and Indian War, The British and French fought, and the colonists fought with the British and won. However, the British taxed them because they were in debt. (1754-1763
