1931 - Felix d'Herelle published his results from his experimentation with phage.
1938 - John Northrop deducted phage were produced by a living host.
1925 - Bordet and Bail discovered the process of phage lysogeny.
1960 - Frank MacFarlane confirmed the viral nature of phage through his experimentation.
1934 -Schlesinger discovered that phage contained nucleoproteins.
1980's - saw the rebirth of phage based experimentation.
2000 - the first phase I trial of phage therapy was carried out.
2004 - The "Phage Summit" in Florida
