Charles Chaplin was born in London (UK)

His father died of cirrhosis.

He took his first steps on stage replacing his mother.

After a few years of minor work such as glassblower, he got return to the stage.

He began his acting career.

He went with the company on an american tour.

He was hired by Keystone Company

He made his first film called "Making a living"

He played the little trump for first time on a film called "kids auto race"

He made "twenty minutes of love", his first movie as a director.

Charlie Chaplin made a lot of movies with keystone and other companies, but in 1917 USA entered in the first world war.

He made "shouler arms", a movie set in the war.

He announced the built of his own film studios located in Hollywood, Los angeles C.A.

He made his first full-length movie called "The Kid".

After the success of "The Kid" Charlie Chaplin came back to England and he was received for thousands of people.

He read a book about the gold rush in Alaska and give it to him the idea for his next movie.

In 1925 was released the film "The gold rush".

This is the moment when the "talkies" (spoken movies) was born but Charlie wanted to keep doing silent films.

He made City lights, a movie which overcame the talkies and it was the biggest success of the moment.

Charlie made "modern times" a satire on technology.

In Germany Adolf Hitler banned the movies of Charlie Chaplin, but that was the inpiration for his next job.

This is the date when the world could see the Charlie Caplin's version of "The Great Dictator".

Chaplin died at home in Manoir de Ban, Consier-sur-Vevey, Suiza after suffering a stroke in his sleep.

He got a job interpreting a drunken party-goer and later he met Stan Laurel.
