Rome was a dangerous place during the 70bc. "Politicians and generals went to war to increase there powers even as political order broke down in Rome ." But politically inspired riots to restor the power of the tribunes. All in while more people throughout the republic come to the city and adding more confunsion.
pompey's allies in the Senate ordered Caesar to give up his command of his armies.
Caesers army chased Pompeys forces for a year. Then they finally defeated Pompey in Greece . But Pompey was killed when the king of Egyptian ordered him to be killed.
When Caeser returned to Rome he made himself dictator for life. He worked to improve roman society many people resented the way he gained power. They were also concerened he wanted to be king of rome.
Ceasar has reduced the senators power. The senators feaared that his power would grow. A group of senators attacked Caesar in the senate and stabbed to death
Their army caught up to the killers near Philippi in northern Greece. Anthony and Octavian soundly defeated their opponents. After the battle, the last of Caesar´s murders killed themselves.
