1979: Thousands of Vietnamese citizens fled from the war invasion of Khmer Rouge in Cambodia
1980: The Refugee Act of USA was passed and allowd Vietnamese refugees to live in the country
1996: The official closing of refugee camps in Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Hong Kong, and Thailand
2000s: More than one million Vietnamese people live in the United States
