October 1969 Stealing and copying the Pentagon Papers.
17 June 1967 Vietnam Study Task Force created by McNamara
March 1971 Ellsberg hands over the copied study to The New York Times reporter, Neil Sheehan.
13 June 1971 The first story on the Pentagon Papers is published in The New York Times.
